Arcane Radio

Live Tonight!

SOS Defiance, Ohio Dogman

In 1972, in Defiance, Ohio, a series of encounters was documented by local news outlets.  The reports centered around sightings of a strange, hairy figure described by residents as a werewolf.  The beast was said to have the head of a wolf, hairy feet and clad in blue jeans.

The encounters took place between the hours of 1:00 AM and 4:30 AM.  Despite a serious police investigation, the creature was never caught and the sightings remain a mystery to this day.

Recently, the Society of the Supernatural was in Defiance for the first annual Dogman conference and we spent some time at the sight of the famous 1972 encounters.  Check out the brief video below for a full account of the tale and some great shots of the location:

As always, thanks for watching, and be sure to subscribe to the YouTube channel, lots more coming from SOS!

Satanic Scare in Nicaragua

Residents in the small village of La Chiriza, Nicaragua are in a state of fear and concerned about demonic activity this week after a strange incident involving a young girl.

A thirteen year old was found wandering through the streets in the middle of the night with what were described as "satanic symbols" carved into her upper extremities.  The girl could not explain what had happened to her.  Disorientated and unstable, the teenager was wearing a blue and white school uniform and residents of the village said she was not a local.  She was taken to authorities who were eventually able to locate her parents, Cuban immigrants who had no statement on the matter.

Some residents of the area believe the girl may have been participating in some type of devil worship and believe the she may be possessed.

Villagers who found the girl reported her hands and arms were scratched and slashed with pentagrams and other symbols often associated with satanic practices.  In an interview with local television station, Canal 10 news, one of the villagers stated:

"We stopped her, but it was very strange.  She seemed to have been playing some strange game.  I think she's from Cuba, she's not from this village.  It's up to parents to pay attention to the children.  This is truly the fault of the parents."

Nicaragua, is devoutly Roman Catholic and the Central American country has had a large influx of illegal Cuban immigrants in recent years who have brought their own Afro-Caribbean traditions with them causing some tensions.  Catholics in the region believe that there is regular satanic activity occurring in the country.

Previously, a video emerged of an exorcism being conducted in the Nicaraguan town of San Rafael del Sur.  The video shows another young girl vomiting and screaming as a demon is purportedly expelled from her.

Numerous other similar incidents have been reported over the past few years.

Jeff Richards Paranormal

Tonight on Jeff Richards Paranormal!

"Author David Weatherly will be joining me live at 6pm CST / 8pm EST. He wrote the definitive book on the black eyed children phenomena. Thousands of people around the world have been approached by small children who's eyes were totally black. These kids bring a sense of fear and unease with them. Who are they? What do they want? Find out tonight!"

BEKs at the Door

Researcher Jamie L. Brian just sent me this account that he transcribed from a May edition of Coast to Coast AM.  The episode was hosted by Dave Schrader who received a call in about an encounter with a pair of BEKs:

Mark in San Antonio, Texas reports:

“I came across... me and my sister. It was a normal day, kind of cloudy and we get a ringing, you know, at the doorbell.
We see two kids outside. Two punky little kids and we're like, Hey, what's up? And they never had anything. The only thing they say is, Can we come inside?
We kept asking them, Can we help you?  They kept saying, Can you let us inside?
There was a little girl, a little girl, a little boy. They're wearing denim clothes.
(Dave Schrader, the host, asked if they had black eyes.)
When they looked up at us, I said, I think we need call our father and we should get his permission to let you in.
The little girl goes, No! No! No! You don't need to do that, just let us inside. I said, No, no, we really need to call our father.”

Source: Coast To Coast AM - May 7, 2016

The account was short, but interesting for a couple of reasons.
First, it's fairly unusual for BEKs to utilize a doorbell, they almost always knock whether the home has a doorbell or not.
Second, overall, there are fewer accounts of black eyed girls.  On occasions when there are a boy and girl pair, it's usually the boy who does the talking.

There are constantly subtle shifts in the endless reports of these beings and it gives one the sense that there is a constant evolution in the approach taken by whatever these entities really are.

West Virginia Trooper UFO Report

Charleston Gazette
July 25, 1986

A state police trooper in Raleigh County thought he was responding to a crank call early Thursday when he received a report of strange lights in the sky near the WV Turnpike.  But Trooper John Ferda of the Beckley detachment discovered when he reached the scene in the Sand Branch area that the report was no hoax.  Hovering in the sky over the turnpike was a cluster of bright lights.

"It looked like maybe two or three high-beam flashlights close together in a cluster.  It was high enough to be above the horizon.  It was not making any noise," Ferda said.

As Ferda and other police officers at the scene watched, the lights appeared to move from left to right, then dropped out of sight.  Ferda said he observed the lights for nearly an hour before they disappeared.  He and the other policemen went to an area near the WV Turnpike where the lights appeared to be coming from, but they could not find any source for the aerial show.

The lights had no distinct shape and did not appear to be attached to anything.  "They were just there," Ferda said.  Raleigh County airport officials said no aircraft was reported over the area at the time of the incident, which occurred around 2 a.m.

However, Ferda said he cannot accept the idea that the strange phenomenon may have been caused by extraterrestrial beings.  "There's an explanation based in reality," he said.

August 2016 BEK Update

With my hectic schedule, I don't get the chance to listen to as many radio shows as I'd like to, but when I do get the chance to catch up, one of the best is Expanded Perspectives.  I was on the show about a year ago discussing Strange Intruders, these guys are great, laid back, and they leave the listener with a lot to think about.

They celebrated their 100th episode earlier this year, and the special 100th edition was on the Black Eyed Children.  Best, part is, they related a lot of accounts sent directly to their show, so it's certainly of interest to those studying the topic.

High notes of the episode include:

Another account including a "booming" sound.  Is this related to the BEKs moving in and out of another dimension?

An Australian account of a kid looking for his "kitten," that includes another example of the apparent ability of these creepy children to read the thoughts of their victims.

By far, the most intriguing account the guys present in the show is an encounter that occurred in Sandoval, IL around 1918-1919.  I'm always especially fascinated by accounts that predate television and the modern era, and this one obviously falls within that range.

Check out the show at the link below:

A pack of BEKs?  A post from My Haunted Life Too detailing a female BEK attempting to gain entry into a hotel room gets pretty strange.  When she doesn't get the desired response, she begins to growl at the door.  It's a disturbing account, and the poster, Rick, claims that there were a number of these beings prowling the hotel halls and grounds.  More here:

Finally, here's an older video that has just come to my attention.  It's from David Icke, well know for his conspiracy theories involving the world's elite and politicians.  Icke believes that all of our world leaders are actually reptilians.  In this vid, he recounts his meeting with former British Prime Minister Ted Heath.  Icke says that he watched Heath's eyes turn solid black.  Judge for yourself:

SOS Cheat Lake Haunting

January 18, 1970, two students from West Virginia University vanished into the night.  Karen Ferrell and Mared Malarik, both nineteen, were last seen getting into a vehicle with a male driver.

For several months, authorities conducted an extensive search, hoping to find the women, or clues about their disappearance.  Eventually, personal articles belonging to the two girls were found strewn along the highway.  A search of the nearby woods led to the discovery of two headless bodies in the woods 15 miles south of Morgantown, WV.

The case went unsolved for five years until a man named Clawson, serving time in a New Jersey prison, confessed to the murders.  But did he do it?  After being tried and convicted for the crime, the conviction was overturned and sent to retrial.  Clawson was convicted again and sent back to prison.  The bizarre thing is, he retracted his confession and went to his grave swearing that he didn't really commit the murders.  It's a long, twisted tale, and to the minds of many, the deaths of the girls remain an unsolved mystery.

Even those who believe that Clawson was guilty have to admit there are aspects of the case that are unfinished.  For instance, the heads of the two victims were never found.

These horrible murders have lead to a ghostly legend at Cheat Lake.  Over the years, numerous people have reported seeing the apparitions of two young women darting through the woods near the road around Cheat Lake.  Accidents have been blamed on the ghostly figures as they distract drivers traveling late at night on the dark road.

The Society of the Supernatural recently went out to the area in an attempt to gather information, and perhaps, spot the ghostly figures said to move through the dark woods.  While there were no glowing female figures spotted that night, we did have some very strange incidents.  Not only that, but there's a personal connection to the case for one of us.  Check out the video below for more:

Dogman Symposium 2016

The first annual Dogman Conference was held this past weekend in Defiance, Ohio and was a great success.

It was a big crowd for a first time event which kicked off with a VIP meet and greet on Friday night, followed by a full day of speakers on Saturday.

John Tenney got things going and, true to his form, kept it weird.  I was up next with a lecture on Skinwalkers, followed by the amazing Linda Godfrey discussing her dogman research.

After a lunch break, Ken Gerhard spoke on the beast of Gevaudan, Nick Redfern discussed English werewolves and Stan Gordon spoke on encounters in Pennsylvania.

The whole thing was expertly MC'd by the incredible Lyle Blackburn, and the day ended with a panel discussion that included all speakers.
We had some spectacular vendors in attendance too, and everyone seemed to have a really good time.

Defiance was chosen as the location for this year's event due to its prime location and for its series of Werewolf sightings from 1972.  What better place to kick off a hopefully annual event?

This was one of those events that you just had to attend to truly appreciate.  Lots of inquiring minds, an amazing amount of information, and great company!  Events like this can be risky, congrats to Ken Gerhard for pulling it off and giving everyone who was there a truly memorable experience.  Happy I was a part of it!

The Conspiracy to Control the Food Supply

The Dark Act landed on the White House desk and was signed without a thought.  This means more genetically modified corn and frakenfish for your table.  But what you don't know, won't hurt you right?  Remember this:

“Control oil and you control nations; control food and you control the people.”
Henry Kissinger

Biotech food producers have now gained the upper hand.  This isn't a conspiracy, it's pure fact, the government has decided to help obscure the truth about what's in the food you eat.

Meanwhile covert video has surfaced of a delegate commentating that gun control will be easy if citizens don't know what the real agenda is.

More in my new article, Food, Guns and Fading Rights in the latest issue of PP&S News, available at the link below.

The Frightened Chupacabra

Recently I've been posting a lot of classic Chupacabra encounters, and, since people still request them, I'll continue to post more.

While the creatures have been reported in many different parts of the world, they are perhaps best known for their appearances in Puerto Rico.  A hot bed of Chupacabra activity, the small island has given us tons of reports over the years.

Researcher Albert S Rosales has recently dug up a report from 1996 and the Chupacabra in this one, while still creepy in appearance, doesn't seem very scary.  The account does contain, yet again, a report of a Chupacabra that flies.

This incident occurred in December, 1996 at about seven o'clock in the evening.  Location: Barrio Valenciano Abajo, Juncos, Puerto Rico.

Mrs. Maria Gomez, 50, reported hearing her mix-breed dog, Suky, barking insistently while she was working in the kitchen.  Due to the unusual barking, Maria went out to check why Suky was so nervous.  The terrace was located next to the kitchen.  She looked outside the door that led to the terrace and was stunned by what she saw.  She said it was a "fantastic creature."  It was humanoid in appearance with dark gray skin, about 75 lbs. in weight and about 4 feet tall.  According to Maria, it was staring directly at her small dog with a "threatening and defiant attitude."

Maria stated that it was the "ugliest creature she had ever seen," only the thin screen door separated her from the creature.

Maria armed herself with a baseball bat her husband kept in the kitchen just in case she had to use it.  It seemed to Maria that the creature (a Chupacabra she thought) was attempting to hypnotize her little dog.  The creature stared at her with a pair of huge, luminous eyes, very shiny.  However, it apparently was unable to gain control of the feisty little mutt as it continued to bark at the creature aggressively.  Holding the bat in her right hand, Maria went out onto the terrace and stood in front of the creature at a very short distance away.  And then something surprising occurred.  Maria and the creature started at each other and suddenly the creature seemed frightened and began to tremble as Maria stared it down.  At the same time, she was yelling, "You are a coward if you really are the so-called Chupacabra!"

Still trembling in apparent fear, the bizarre creature slowly covered its body and face with a pair of scaly wings, apparently "hurt" at the insults from Maria.  It then slowly walked in a clumsy manner behind a washing machine on the terrace.  Maria kept yelling at it to leave, and the creature apparently understood her as it suddenly ran and jumped on top of the fence which surrounded the second-story terrace.  From there, it took off, flying away and disappearing into the night sky towards the east.

An interesting detail noted by Maria was that the eyes of the creature appeared to emanate light, illuminating the terrace clearly just like a flashlight.

IONS to study Channeling

The Institute of Noetic Sciences (IONS) founded by astronaut Edgar Mitchell, has announced a research project to study individuals who claim to channel spiritual entities.

The project's lead researcher, Helane Wahbeh, speaking at a recent conference, notes that preliminary studies into certain aspects of the phenomena have already been undertaken by IONS senior scientist Dr. Dean Radin.

Wahbeh, a Naturopathic physician, spoke about the project in depth, and offered a brief definition of channeling:

"It is an umbrella term for the communication of information to or through a live human, from a source other than the physical as we know it.
It's an ability that has a long history and appears to have manifested in the Delphic Oracle in Greece, as well as with Moses, the Virgin Mary and Muhammad.  In fact, many of our world religions were founded on channeled prophecy or messages."

More modern channellers include Edgar Cayce, known as the sleeping prophet, Jane Roberts who channeled "Seth" and Helen Schucman, a professor of psychology who channeled the book "A Course in Miracles."  Schucman's identity was hidden at her own insistence and wasn't revealed until after her death in 1981.

Wahbeh has a personal interest in the phenomena of channeling, having been exposed to it since the age of ten.  Along with a team of researchers, she has developed a five year, comprehensive research project to investigate, and hopefully find answers to, some of the questions surrounding the mysterious ability.

"Our research will use rigorous and systematic methods to study channeling, without preconceived notions about what may or may not be real.  We may come to learn that the process is complete 'hocus-pocus' and that all mediums are frauds.  And then again, we might not.
A true scientist is open to either outcome.  Through well-designed, blinded, unbiased studies, we will discover which outcome is correct."

IONS is in a unique position with the launch of the project and the rigorous study of the phenomena.  Wahbeh and Radin intended to ensure that the study is conducted carefully.

"The biggest question is, perhaps, even with rigorous science, would the world--would you--be willing to accept findings that indicate channeling is a real experience?  Is the world ready to accept indications that consciousness exists beyond the human body?"
